Know before practice:
- Make sure you are hydrated before and after class.
- Practicing with an empty stomach is recommended, but light snacks should be ok. Avoid heavy meals a few hours before yoga.
- Be mindful of your physical capacity and limitations. Move at your own pace with deep breath.
- Modify postures or movements as they suit your body and state of mind, and do not strain to attain any posture. Respect your unique body.
- Inform your instructor of any health condition(s) that you may have. Consult your physician first if you have any health issues.
- Pregnant women should consult your physician first and should practice only gentle forms of yoga. Refrain from inversions and any pose that compresses the belly. Be careful not to overstretch/overstrain as ligaments and tendons are loose during pregnancy.
